Frozen whole blackberries are versatile ingredients that can be used in smoothies, breakfast dishes, baked goods, fruit sauces, desserts, and a variety of savory recipes.
🥣 Breakfast Bowls & Smoothies
Blend frozen blackberries directly into smoothies, protein shakes, or smoothie bowls. They also pair well with oatmeal, overnight oats, chia pudding, yogurt, and granola.
🧁 Baking & Desserts
Frozen blackberries are ideal for baking into muffins, cakes, pies, cobblers, and tarts. They are also suitable for fruit compotes, jams, dessert sauces, and toppings for cheesecakes or ice cream.
🥗 Sauces & Savory Pairings
Simmer blackberries with balsamic vinegar to create a fruit reduction for roasted poultry, pork, or other meats. Thawed blackberries also pair well with salads with goat cheese, nuts, and leafy greens.
How to prepare & use frozen blackberries
01Straight from Freezer: For smoothies and shakes, add frozen blackberries directly to the blender. Frozen blackberries naturally chill the drink while helping create a thicker texture without additional ice.
02Refrigerator Thawing: Transfer the desired amount to a covered container and thaw in the refrigerator until softened.
03Cold-Water Thawing: Submerge the sealed package in a container of cold water for quicker thawing. Use promptly after thawing or refrigerate until ready to use.
04Avoid Excess Heat: Avoid thawing in the microwave when possible, as rapid heating may soften the fruit and affect its texture.
05Handle Gently: Thawed blackberries become softer and more delicate. Handle carefully when mixing or serving to maintain their appearance.

Storage
Keep frozen blackberries properly stored to help preserve their quality, flavor, and texture.
01Keep Frozen: Store at −18°C (0°F) or below until ready to use. Maintaining a consistent freezer temperature helps preserve the berries' quality during storage.
02Reseal After Opening: Close the original packaging securely after each use, or transfer the blackberries to an airtight, freezer-safe container. Limiting exposure to air and moisture may help reduce freezer burn and ice crystal formation.
03Cold Chain Handling: Frozen orders are packed and transported using cold-chain handling procedures within Metro Manila. Pickup is also available from our Makati warehouse.
Shelf Life
Simple guidelines to help maintain product quality during storage.
01Best-Before Guidance: When stored continuously at −18°C (0°F) or below, frozen blackberries can maintain their best quality until the best-before date indicated on the packaging.
02Refreezing Guidance: Avoid refreezing fully thawed blackberries whenever possible. Repeated freeze-thaw cycles may affect texture, color, and overall quality.
03After Thawing: Store thawed blackberries in a covered container in the refrigerator and use within 2–3 days for best quality.
